Designing a ski home with an indoor batting cage can be daunting - however when it is a client requirement, it becomes a design opportunity. Incorporating a 75 foot space, above grade, into a 6,600 square foot home has its challenges. The solution was to incorporate the area into the garage, to keep in scale with the house and the existing neighborhood. Built on two lots, the home is designed to take advantage of the ski mountain views, while maintaining privacy on the street side. Additionally, the home incorporates geothermal as well as solar panels to offset its carbon footprint.
