Philip's great, great, great, grandfather, Jedadiah Morgan Grant was the first mayor of Salt Lake City and built the original City Hall. Philip attended the University of Utah as a Music Theory Major. He began his carrier as a Framer & Finish Carpenter, building tract and custom homes and went on to become a construction superintendent for a General Contractor. In '89 he was acting as a General Contractor, building a store at 425 Main Street in Park City when he met up with two separate local Architectural Groups. He subsequently began producing all of the working drawings for one of the Architects and became the sole draftsman between 1989 and 2004. Projects have included Park Meadows Golf Club building and the Summit County Justice Center as well as many fine custom homes.
